Last week I posted a collection of Apps for Construction to watch in 2015. The world of apps changes on a monthly basis. There are so many apps that come and go, update and rebrand, or go away. In order to keep construction professional up to date on what new and proven apps are available I will continue this series for the next few weeks.

This week I will add to the list:

1. FotoIn: Automate Photo Solution

This Android and IOS app allows users to take, tag, annotate and sync field photos in real time. This innovative app uses cloud connections such as Box, Egnyte, Sharefile and Sharepoint to move photo files from mobile devices to your server for storage and archiving. The FotoIn team have recently updated the web portal. Users can now create custom tags, custom reports and set up geo-fences around project sites.

2. Getable: Order and Track Equipment from the field.

This unique new web based and IOS app allows users to order and track heavy equipment for construction sites from a smartphone, tablet or desktop. Through the App users can manage their owned or rental equipment through the platform, receive notification for service request, and share equipment status with team members. The Apps also allows users to call off rental items and reconcile multiple company monthly billings through one platform.

3. LeanKit: “Visualize Your Workflow”

This innovative platform allows users to create and share project workflow and through virtual whiteboards. The LeanKit website is the main hub for creating boards and cards. These boards and cards can be shared with team members through the web portal or IOS App. This allows project teams to share the information from their on site Lean Weekly Planning Boards to team members not on site.
