The ConTech Tuesday series is dedicated to reviewing new apps and software for the construction industry that can improve work flows and transform companies! Last weeks ConTech Tuesday Vlog from The ConTechCrew focused on the use case for 360 photos on construction project sites. The ConAppGuru, reviewed on the Structionsite app for use on Construction projects.

 

App Workflows 

1 – Connect: take a photo with mobile device or import from camera roll. 

2 – Capture: take 360 photo and place onto plans. 

3 – Sync: upload files from smartphone or tablet to app or website (from desk top). 

To start using Structionsite create a trial account, create a project, and upload your 2D plan files. 

Feature #1: Capture (App) 

Open the Structionsite app, then connect to 360 camera to Smartphone or Tablet over WIFI connection, and send Photo files to smartphone or tablet. 

On a mobile device, choose 360 mode and tap anywhere to add a Pin there, and choose to add either from your camera roll from the device (make sure you are connected to the Ricoh Theta S camera first!). 

On the web portal (this method could be easier if you have a lot of photos) click anywhere on the drawing to drop a pin there and it will ask you to drag and drop in a photo 

Feature #2: View & Edit (Mobile App) 

App Users can view 360 photos in 3 modes: 

1 – VR ( use a Google Cardboard or other headset) 

2 – Gyro ( view moves with you as you do with device  

3 – Xray (switch between current view and older photo)  

Feature #3: Document 

App Users can : 

A – Share: add text, Email, save local, save to cloud such as One Note or Evernote and more.

B – Tags: add tags: custom or stock ones created. 

C – Notes: tap and hold on a spot to add a note.
